“Hidden Jewel” is a great puzzles game in which you won’t get boring any soon since it offers a wide variety of different games, organized into what we could call “levels” or “missions”. With a wonderful interface and a warm music you enter into a welcoming atmosphere while playing this puzzle game, achieving its main goal: to entertain you.
There’s an underlying story in the game, which will tell you now very briefly. The game develops in the magical tropics. A place that once was inhabited by elves and other fair creatures until a dark sorcerer – Kelod – enchanted the land. A legend says he hid his power jewel somewhere by an eternal volcano. Many expeditions went on a quest to find it, but to no avail. It is believed they were presented with a set of riddles. Now you are the only hope to solve the riddles, find the power jewel and free the magical land from the sorcerer…
When you first enter the game, you’ll be asked for a player name and see the welcome screen with the following options:
- Change Player: after you create one or more players, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- Play: it leads you to a brief introduction to the game and then to the first game to play.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can get some help and set some game options, like sound volume, music volume, and full screen.
- High Scores: to see the highest records achieved by the players.
- Trophies: the section of the game from where you can see your awards.
- Exit game: no further explanation required.
Each level is organized into four sequential games, as follows:
- Create matches of 3-in-a-row jewels: drop the jewels in the correct place in order to create matches and clear the jewels. Fill up the jewels jar to pass the game.
- Find the hidden sphinxes: you have to click in the listed sphinxes to uncover them from the shadows.
- Create row and columns: swap the gems until you create a one-color row or column and clear the gems. Fill up the jewels jar to pass the game.
- Find the hidden keys: look in the scene and find the ten hidden keys. Click on them to clear them and finish the game.
